Let’s face it many will say there is no such thing as balance but those will be the ones that haven’t achieved it. Balance can certainly be achieved not only within your business but in your personal relationships and family too.
There are 4 C’s that can help in achieving the balance we all strive; today I share the first one which is: Consistency.
Consistency simply means persistence and repetition. When we are consistent in our thinking process then we are firm in our belief and continue to work at it until it becomes second nature.
A perfect example of consistency and repetition is when we are teaching our children how to walk or tie their shoes. Do we give up after the first try? Do we allow them to give up? Of course not! Instead we continue and are consistent. The same can apply to a particular habit. Perhaps we have decided to wake up at a certain time each and every morning. In order to achieve this consistent action which will in turn become a habit we must repeat it at least 21 days. Why 21 days? Researchers have determined that if we repeat a particular action for 21 days that it will become a habit.
Many individuals that feel ‘out of sorts’ or imbalanced in their career or relationships may be because they are not consistent with their actions. A successful business person or entrepreneur will confirm that waking up early and tackling the day is essential to their success. They will also confirm that once they have repeated this action on a consistent basis that it merely becomes second nature to them. Some won’t need the sound of the alarm clock to awaken them because their internal clock as already been accustomed to this practice.
Balance can be achieved with this little C known as Consistency in your business by applying yourself and dedicating specific hours to accomplish your tasks. It can be accomplished in your home with your family by being consistent in your requests without sounding like a nag. The so-needed balance can be achieved in your relationships as well, when you are true to your needs and theirs and are consistent in your thought process.
- Determine your goal
- Set a time frame
- Stay focused
- Be kind
- Be patient
- Don’t give up
Notice the importance of Consistency? With perseverance, focus, encouraging words and love – balance can certainly be achieved in all aspects of your life. Don’t allow doubt or resistance come into play..stay focused like the child learning how to walk and move ahead. You can do it!

I personally stay away from the B word [balance]. I believe it is a matter of prioritization and just doing. I agree that consistency is important – but not easy!
Thank you for the encouragement.
Amazing how the B word has gotten a bad rep…but it can be achieved with consistency…of course I will share the rest in the coming weeks:) Thanks for stopping by!:)
