You Control Your Destiny or Do You?

What saddens me most is to notice how nearly half of the people in our society live a limited lifestyle and truly never live out their passions. Why does this happen? We all know how beautiful life is. We also know that life can truly be full of joy and happiness. But of course all of this is only possible if we take control of our destiny.

Now don’t misunderstand; there will be times of trials and tribulations but those should be experiences that you embrace no matter how difficult they may be at the time.  You can learn to walk through life with a smile in your heart that shines when you learn to hold tight to that which is yours to live. 

As you attempt to live your destiny here are a few keys you should include in your life. 

• Determine Your Rules: Be sure that you have a set of standards, morals, and values that will guide you daily as you step out to walk your destiny. Can you imagine walking throughout your life aimlessly with no direction? Set your rules and be flexible to change.

• No Permission Needed: Try not to look to others for validation or permission to do what you know needs to be done. Sure you can seek advice and the word of your mentors, however, the ultimate choice is yours. In the end you have to answer for how you choose to live out your life. 

• Be Strong and Assertive: It is important that you not waiver in the midst of living in your destiny. You may have moments of weakness and that is fine. Confide in a few trusted individuals and allow them to be your shoulders and your arms when you feel like the strength you have is fading fast. The best way to stand strong is to stand with others. 

• Be Committed: It’s important to not give up on this your journey. Start what you finish, even if you stumble and fall. Failure and setbacks are to be expected. What you must ask yourself is, how are you going to deal with it and what will you do to continue on your path?

• Be Open to Learning: If you think that you know it all, that is the first step to cementing your feet to the ground. In order to truly and successfully live out the destiny that has been determined for you, you must never, ever stop gaining knowledge. Every day is a learning experience and one step closer to your true happiness.

 So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to take control of your destiny. Don’t wait for the opportune time, for that time may never come. The time is now to control your own destiny and learn along the way.

It may not be picture perfect but honestly, who’s is? That’s what makes life and interesting journey ~ one that is full of adventures!
