Determining Your Destiny

Today I want you to dig down deep into your mind and soul and discover what your destiny truly is. We all have a specific and personal destiny. We were placed on this earth with that destiny in place. We may or may not be in tune with it but it’s definitely there. This destiny may be in the form of a calling, a job, a talent or art. It is up to you to determine what it is and refine it not disregard it.

Too often we think that we must be a certain way, act a certain way to the point that we try to mold ourselves into becoming who we think we should be. In fact, we are doing ourselves much more harm than good. Instead of fantasizing or imagining who you should be, determine who you already are and become it. Don’t allow the negative thoughts in your mind to convince you that you are not who you were meant to be. Don’t allow others to do the same.

If you were created to sing then your job is to sing. If you were created to write, then your job is to write. If you were placed here on this earth to love and nurture children, then it is your job to become a parent. Too often we allow our insecurities to infiltrate our minds and thoughts and soon we find ourselves two steps behind instead of two steps forward.

Today, I want to motivate you to stop listening to the distracting noise in your head that surrounds you and your every thought. Instead, dig down within yourself and determine what gifts you were given and share them. Don’t be selfish and keep them all to yourself! Be the person you were created to be.

Sounds simple because it truly is. We tend to over analyze each and every move we make along with the thoughts we think. Stop thinking and become active. When you set aside those thoughts, you will soon discover who you truly are and what your destiny is. When you determine that you are more than a thought or fantasy – you will discover your true worth.

You matter and it’s time you start thinking and acting that way. You’ve been given the gift of life but more importantly you’ve been gifts that are unique to you. No one can replicate who you are, what you do, what you say and how you say it. Stop living behind the curtain of excuses and be the person that you know you truly are. A person of value, one with thoughts and desires, one that can make a difference, one that can change lives and more. Begin by changing your thought process and changing your life and truly determining your destiny. No one else can do it for you — it is solely up to you.

Great post! I agree that we all have a purpose in this life. There are many clues given to us as to what that is, but so often we overlook them. One of the most fulfilling things that I do is helping people figure out what it is! It is life changing, and truly the best ‘compass’ :)

I love what you said here: “Instead of fantasizing or imagining who you should be, determine who you already are and become it.”
That makes me think of my favorite scene in the Lion King, when little Simba sees the vision of his father in his own reflection and Mufasa tells him “Remember who you are!!” -and it causes him to snap back into his destiny.
That’s exactly why I created that Royalty Within meditation audio that we sell on my websites.
    Awesome word, Daisy!
