When your child is experiencing a ‘rough time’ – do you give up hope?
Adversities come in all shapes and sizes. Some of the greatest achievers of our life time had difficult times as well. Who are these greatest achievers? Einstein, Churchill and Freud are merely a few of the many that had troubled childhoods. Many were poverty stricken, abused and came from broken homes.
Some had physical handicaps and perhaps would have been labeled today as ‘problem children’. Why am I bringing this up?
Simply because during these difficult times we must never give up hope. Instead we should focus on the strengths and God-given abilities that our children possess. As parents we must help them overcome whatever obstacles and adversities may come their way.
Challenges will always be present, but it’s up to us as parents to help our children. We must encourage and love them and help keep their hopes and dreams alive.
There’s always hope, no matter the circumstances. You are never alone and should never feel as if you are.
