How often have you heard that fresh fruits and vegetables are better than frozen? It’s time to put the myth to rest.
Ever since the latest craze of antioxidants ~ all you’ve heard or read is that fresh is best. However, frozen can actually be just as good or perhaps better than fresh. If the fruits and vegetables are picked directly from the plant when they are at the peak of their nutritional content and flash frozen the nutrients are locked in.
You may think that fresh is best but consider the time the fruits and vegetables were picked, shipped to the farmer’s market and sit in the heat or water. Unless you pick them the same day and eat them the same day, frozen fruits and vegetables are just as good as fresh.
