Take the Healthy Pledge

Take the Healthy Pledge

Each January many people make resolutions to lose weight, eat healthier and ultimately live healthier lifestyles. These resolutions require you to be diligent with your daily routine. However, for many the resolutions will be forgotten in a matter of months and for some sooner. This year, instead of making resolutions that are unattainable, consider making a healthy pledge today! What better day than National Vitamin Day to take this pledge!

Choosing to live a healthy lifestyle is a realistic resolution and one that can certainly be accomplished. It begins with eating several small meals a day, adding activity to your daily routine and also supplementing your daily diet with vitamins. You may think that you are eating healthy meals but your body requires certain vitamins and minerals that can only be attained through vitamin supplements.

Do you feel lethargic? Are you lacking energy that you once had? Introducing vitamin supplements into your daily diet will help with these signals. It’s important to be aware of the signals your body provides. Lack of energy, increased stress levels, difficulty sleeping are merely some of the signals your body will give you when it is lacking vitamins and minerals. However, if you are like many who don’t like taking vitamins because they are huge in size or leave a horrible aftertaste, or don’t have water available to take the necessary vitamins you will be pleased to know that there is a healthy alternative.

Imagine taking a vitamin that requires no water and actually tastes great. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, believe it or not, Nature Made VitaMelts have addressed all those issues and more. Not only do these vitamins tastes great, they dissolve in your mouth without water and come in small, portable packages so you can take them anytime, anywhere. Nature Made VitaMelts come in flavors like Juicy Orange, Mixed Betty, Creamy Vanilla, Honey Lemon and Green Tea Mint.

This year, instead of creating a resolution that will unlikely be forgotten by the end of February, take a healthy pledge today.

Pledge to:

Choose to make healthier decisions when it comes to your diet. Don’t simply choose foods that have labels that read ‘sugar-free’ or ‘low-fat’. Be sure to read the labels and choose a ‘natural’ product instead. Remember, if you can’t pronounce the ingredients, more than likely they are not natural or healthy.

Choose to be more active. Your body requires motion. It does not require you to run a marathon or choose an extreme that will leave your body sore. It does require movement such as walking, cycling, swimming or simply dancing. This choice is not very difficult, but it does require your commitment. Take the stairs, instead of the escalator or elevator. Park your vehicle farther and walk. Walk around your neighborhood. Don’t sit for long periods of time. Be sure to get up and stretch often. Remember, when you take care of your body it will return the favor.

Choose a healthy routine. Staying up late night after night does not define a healthy routine. Sleep is essential for your body to heal from the day’s stressors. Create a routine that will help your body slow down. Not only will this help with your stress levels, it will also help to calm your mind. If you wake up tired each and every morning, that is an indication that you are not getting enough sleep. There is no magic number of hours that I can give you to gain the necessary amount of sleep for your body. Only you will know if your body is getting adequate rest and sleep and tiredness is merely an indication of not enough.

Choose water. Staying hydrated is essential to your health. It’s not enough to drink coffee, sodas or juice. Water will help to release the toxins from your body and help flush your kidneys. It’s important to drink water throughout the day and if you wait until you feel thirsty, it’s too late. If you don’t like drinking plain water, consider placing fresh fruit in the water for added vitamins.

Choose to be an example. This may be one of the most important choices you make. Choosing to live a healthier lifestyle will not only help you but it will encourage those around you to do the same. Making healthier choices will help to encourage your family and friends to do the same and in turn help you stay accountable to your commitment.

Choose vitamins. Unfortunately the foods you eat do not contain all the vitamins and minerals required to keep your body healthy and strong. It’s for this reason that vitamin supplements are necessary. As mentioned above, there is a healthy alternative available now to help you live a healthier lifestyle.

Take the healthy pledge today and make this year’s resolution last.
