We All Have Scars

Have you ever tripped and hurt your knee? Remember those days? Being the non-graceful child, I can definitely remember! Remember how we waited for the scab to form? Some of us picked at the scab while others simply waited an allowed it to heal.

The same occurs in our daily lives.  Some of us will continue to pick at our scabs, not allowing them to heal; while others will allow the healing to occur with only the scar as a memory.  We all have scars in our lives. Some will say that these scars make us the person we are today.  Of course, many will argue this point.  But I am not here to argue but to simply remind you of the reality of the situation.

Remind you that we all have a choice.  The choice is completely ours, no matter how painful it may be.  That is the most incredible part of the entire situation ~ choice!

We can choose to pick or allow the scab to heal.  Allowing the scab to turn into a scar will be a reminder but not one that we should use as an anchor.  I’ve done that for too long and have allowed the healing to begin and truly continue in my life.  I also know that this is not possible to do alone, thankfully my faith will pull me through.  I choose to heal, what will you choose?
